You can borrow my spare set of Steel wheels (with tyres) for a while if you want to???
New roof, Well mine is a Genuine Honda one including Rear Screen and was approx £650 via Steve M (actually turned up with him the day after he ordered it...!!!)
Oz can get fancy shiny screws (studs) for you if you need them.
Air intake, Door inserts & vents should all be available from Japan, I've seen all these bits up for auction so Oz should be able to get them for you when he gets back from his holiday...
Air Intake currently 3900 per side, Door inserts currently 1000 yen a pair.
Fog light switch, These also come up for auction now and again, I've just won one today actually so that I can now fit a set to mine auction ended up at 3800 Yen (approx £20) Another one is currently at 1000 Yen
New radio front, I beleive Phil Ballinger might have some of these but I'm not sure
CD Autochanger, well you know what ones of these work.
i have all the bits covered in red apart from the centre vent, if u want them i will sort out a price also i have a red engine vent that your looking for. The radio only looks like it need a power button.
I recently had a new hood put on my beat. Had it done by a BMW specialist who used the existing frame and that BMW material instead of vinyl (can't remember what it is called) Looks absolutely brilliant. Just need the rest of the car to look that good now!
Hi Could you post some more info on this, like costs etc?
Well, the beast is on the move, its coming up from Milton keynes to cheshire on a trailer tommorow (friday) so wave if you see it!
After its made road worthy again (cheers for the wheels ade!) i'll have the bumpers off and try and repair some of the cracks. The autochanger can go in too, (i got one off ebay, sorry steve, but it had a remote control thingy on it and was a tad cheaper!)
The radio will have to come out, and i'll be button swapping and generally fiddling with it until it works again! Plus it needs a damn good wash and brush up, to get the tree sap and moss (really!) off it!
Then i guess i'll have to start looking at the hood......
The company that did my hood are no longer about!!! But basically selected a BMW specialist. They copied the original hood design and the cost was £650. The only modification was that i asked them NOT to put in the rear window zip section. This would have been an additional £100 but I never use it so it seemed a waste of money. You have to have the original frame for them to work on.

£650 was what I paid for mine... Bur that was a genuine one from Honda including a new rear window.
It's weird actually being able to see whats behind me now without having to use the door mirrors... especially when reversing into parking spaces...
Well, the brakes were shot on the front, so new disks and pads from blueprint, new rear pads from steve. Caliper pistons had corroded so got some new ones and seals off steve, cleaned the calipers up and they are going back down to the honda garage for fitting/bleeding.
A new hood is on order from oxted trimming (i'll post exact costs and quality etc when i get it, one is in the uk, another 2 expected soon) and i'm trying to get hold of a material sample book for when people want one.
I'm looking at ordering a new back box, the one thats on is rotten. Thinking about a FGK legalis (4 exit) or if i can stretch to it, a TR660.
Might get some slotted disks sent over while i'm getting stuff shipped, they aint too expensive, but will be fairly heavy. I think they are 3000 yen each.
The mini lite wheels will be going off to minilite to be cleaned, turned and generally spruced up.
I'm just waiting now for the MOT to be sorted (bit tricky with no exhaust tail pipe!) then i'll get it home, cleaned up and hopefully get it on the road for a few autumn sunny days (like today!!)
hiya, sorry to butt in but i thought you'd find this bit of
interest
i'm currently attempting the new hood thing and after searching this here interweb thingy, found a supplier in Oxted, surrey.
they import from the good old usa, takes a couple of weeks and
can cost as little as £350. (supplied only)
i'm unsure what the material looks like, but i'm sure if they were asked nicely, they'd send a sample.
also (i work for a bmw main dealer) there is a paste made by
bmw, for cleaning rear screens. it's in a tube, size of a toothpaste tube, costs around £7.00 and works wonders, (on bmw soft screens) i was very surprised when i saw the results.
HOWEVER
it didn't work on my 12 year old screen, too far gone.
and, i'm also waiting for a colleague to crash his hyabusa, he just had it tuned (a bit) gets 220bhp at the rear wheel, before switching on the NITROUS and does 0 / 150 in a tad under 4 seconds !! (just a bit too much power i think)
westfield do a reverse gearbox at around £1000, so i think that will be on the x-mas wish list.
thanks for that, just putting a tv in the beat, may picture it and post it if anybodies interested!.
Yep, thats the same people that Paul W is talking about... Hopefully his will turn up soon...
TV in the Beat... Where about have you put it?? I'm slowly putting plans together myself for changes to the interior so would be interested in How you done it... (Might be what I'm thinking about already...)
Any chance of the part number for the cleaner for the screen??? I might pop down to our BMW dealer to get a tube to try.
Hopefully it will work with my screen since it was only fitted a couple of months ago.
