At the end of last year I reconditioned an old hood frame for my car and then had a complete new hood + reconditioned frame fitted by Jack Smith in Swansea (and he made an excellent job of it for a very reasonable price).
This worked out very well as I was able to get the old frame welded, blasted and painted with the car still in full service

After the new hood was fitted I had my old frame left over which was removed to fit the reconditioned one.

The old frame is free to anyone who wants to do the same as I did i.e. recondition a frame and then fit with a new hood. The only condition is that once your new hood is fitted you pass on your old frame in the same manner

The frame is available to collect in Winsford, Cheshire (CW7).
