Hi my names Nick!
I live in Ottawa, Canada and I've had this beat for about a year now.
This winter I spent a bit of money giving it some of it's past glory i.e. New paint (Honda s2000 Formula red), new roof and some more bit.
Here's a picture from last summer:

And this is now with the paint, new roof, replaced my momo seat for a red Recaro Profi, replaced the sparco steering wheel for a Nardi, installed some HID headlights, installed a OEM Clarion CD changer in the boot and some Sony speakers in the doors!
I also have some nice wheels but I'm waiting on some spacers to install them!
Much more to come over the summer!

Its hard to find seats that fit in the beat, how tight a fit are yours?

How did the HID install go? Its hard to find room for ballasts in such a small car!

Did you mount your CD changer in the trunk, or in the cab?

Keep up the good work, and I can't wait to see what the new rims look like! How wide are they anyway? I have 6.5" rims on mine front/back with no rubbing problems. Its tight, but it works!

I had momo Kevlar racing seats in it before that fit fine but the Recaro was a mighty tight fit! The door doesn't push against it but it does touch the velour a bit, and on the other side it's got maybe a half inch of clearance at the closest point.

The HID install was a breeze, since the car is so small, the ballast wires reached the far side of the strut towers so thats where I put the ballasts on with extra strenght double-sided-sticky-tape.

The Cd changer is in the trunk... effectively deleting the notion of "trunk space" since to have it up right, I had to put it right in the middle...

I can't wait to have the wheels on, they'll fit the car great, the problem is that their 6.5" and most problematic, +55 offset (the rims touch the shocks and don't sit straight on the hub) so I'm waiting for spacers to fit the wheels on the car. I already have ultra sticky tires that compensate for the height difference between front and rear (since the rims are all 15"). They are nice rims indeed! I see the dilema you have, and why the spacers are needed!

forgot to ask - with the HIDs, did you manage to find a H4H version? do you loose your hi/low beam with them? sorry for the questions! i was looking into it a while ago but gave up as the prices seemed to vary so much

Yes, I found H4H hulbs but I had to give up the hi/low beam to have h4h's. I got mine from ebay, got it with the small "intellegent" (has a processor to control it and prevent surges) ballasts for 130$ USD:

Hey all!
I had to tighten the alternator belt so I took the liberty to take a picture of the engine with the Nology spark plug wires! Engine bay is full of dust though from the sanding from my paint job... And the second pic is a pic of the rims beside the car to see how they will look on the car!

It's a kit intented for the beat... but they really just packaged 3x the shortest wire for a civic but it fits fine! Nology part number is: 011 223 014 or 011 223 011(the last three numbers change from site to site... might be for the color)
I got mine new off ebay for around 50$ but i've never seen anymore on there... although you can get some off amazon : http://www.amazon.com/Yellow-Color-1...2317307&sr=8-1

Though, if you want the ones with the ground separate from the wire, make sure to get the "hotwires" instead of the "coolwire"

i know they come in 4, but you could just use the shortest 3, right?

I'm 99% sure that they're the same ... I could try it out when I have some time. But if you want the nology hotwires, they're the same price or cheaper for the honda beat ones, even here in Canada. Any Nology retailer can get you those!

Hi all
I've received my wheel spacers to fit my 15" wheels... Now all I need is suspension to ensure my beat doesn't look like a space shuttle trying to take off!
Also, I've changed my Nardi steering wheel for an other, black center and smaller, so my hand doesnt touch my lap when i turn!
