Anyone know the dimensions of a civic engine? Will it fit in the engine bay? Even approximately!
I am thinking of a project. I went to a track day on Monday and I must say it was great fun. But if I were to take the beat out I would feel like I'm standing still.

Its just an idea. Oh if anyones thinks that it can't be done I would welcome comments.

Any thing is possible.

Its just normally things like cost and time are the decideing factors. (it wont be worth a fraction of what it costs to do)

I would think that any Civic engine will be way too wide to fit between the chassis rails of a beat (a beat 3 cylinder engine is tight enough). You would prob end up cutting the back off a beat and building a subframe to mount the engine and gearbox.

Also a civic engine was designed to be more upright than a beat engine so height would be a problem, or you would be looking in to fabricating angled sump pans etc.
