new to the Beat

I have only just discovered that the Honda beat exists, and think it will suit my requirements for a second car. I had been thinking along the lines of a sporty kit car like a Lotus Seven, but the Beat looks far more entertaining.

I have done a little research on this site and elsewhere, and have a couple of questions:-

1) Can they still be obtained from Japan, on various auction sites etc. Any suggestions for sites welcome. I have heard of one called showatrade.com.
2) Cant see it mentioned anywher, but what is the fuel economy like.
3) Is it possible to buy something like a Haynes Manual, to facilitate proper home servicing.
4) What are the main "stock faults" with this car
5) Are spares easy to come by
