Hello all,

As you can probably tell by my name, I am a Mk1 Toyota MR2 Supercharger specialist, and have imported them too sell in the UK for some time now. As I have found they are now increasing hard too source one suitable for the UK Market, I have decided to move into other "2 seaters"

The Honda Beat is on my list.

I noticed Fahd was running a very interesting thread about importing - I suspect you are sourcing them in much the same way I am? (Also, the Mk1 MR2 you displayed is an NA, so no point importing it, as they are available in the UK!) You mentioned you have got other cars coming over? What protocols and processes do you use, ie, if when it arrives you arent satisfied? Or the customer refuses to pay for it, starts haggling etc....? What auction grades are you buying? Are you speaking vocally too the contact in Japan, or just working off the Engineers Report? Please contact me off list. Perhaps we can help each other???

Anyway.......

My main questions are:

What are the level of demand for Honda BEATS?
How easy are they too sell? I've seen a few adverts where the prices have been lowered - giving me the impression they are hard too shift?
Would you prefer a manual or Auto??
What are the main pitfalls/problems with the BEAT?
Can you source parts from UK Honda Dealers?
What specs and models are there?
Ive seen the Mugen (v nice) obviously that will sell for more?
What years where they produced?

All help is massively appreciated.

Hi there, heres a few answers

What are the level of demand for Honda BEATS? - Its not great, it tends to be filled by the uk sales and occasional import

How easy are they too sell? I've seen a few adverts where the prices have been lowered - giving me the impression they are hard too shift? - These are generally during winter, soft top and all that....

Would you prefer a manual or Auto?? No such thing as an auto...

What are the main pitfalls/problems with the BEAT? - Erm.....have a look through the posts on here about dizzys, cambelts etc

Can you source parts from UK Honda Dealers? - some you can, some you can't but we generally can get anything from the guys on here.

What specs and models are there? - Theres a history and models list on the australian site, see links

Ive seen the Mugen (v nice) obviously that will sell for more? Its a body kit, never a production vehicle.

What years where they produced? 91-96ish

Hi Mr MR2!

Ive been thinking about getting a MK1 for a while now, are you able to arrange delivery to Dublin Port? What sort of money would an N/A MK1 Tbar in excellent condition cost? (not including registration)

Thanks
