Poorly Beat (revisited)

Hi all,

A while back I reported that my Beat had a top end rattle.

I've had it diagnosed and it's the water pump that's making the noise. The mechanic said there is definately some noise coming from my distributor too. I listened down a screw driver and could hear it.

So panic stations regarding the distributor. I've ordered both parts from Honda, and a timing belt too.

Hopefully, I'll get reimbursed for the distributor.

Anyone else had a similar problem with the water pump or distributor?

Well obviously distributor failures are a known and quite common thing, with the early batch of distributors.

I wouldn't say waterpumps on any hondas cause many problems, its possible that a cambelt has had excessive tension and perhaps caused premature failure.
