My catalyst heat light comes on intermittently, even when cold. Car is running fine. I suspect the sensor in the cat, so where can I conveniently disconnect the lead? The armored cable seems to pass up into the chassis above the catalyst. I'd rather not open the cluster if I don't have to. Thanks,
Steve

hi steve
if you jack up car and take nsr wheel off you will be able to see the wiring loom as it goes up inner chassis leg
about a foot up there are two multiplugs the smaller one (single wire )can be disconnected and earthed out
(larger one is for oxygen sensor )
there is a convenient 10 mm bolt that allows you to make the connection
all you need is a piece of wire and a few connectors
this way it can be reinstated at a later if needed

good luck mikei
