adjusting valve clearances?

found a guide on "Steve M"'s personal website but the link is dead. anyone got any guides or how too's? got the clearances required just not the procedure!

i take it the hand written bit is setting the idle speed also?

magic. set the lash yesterday, pretty straight forward, wish i'd done it when the engine was out though!

for future info if anyone is viewing this thread, if you are setting clearances in the car, put the car in 5th and push it forward to get the engine to rotate slowly. there are three marks on the back of the camshaft pulley that align to the TDC of each cylinder. saves trying to turn the crank with one hand and keep an eye on the cam position with the other!
