Hi.
Long story short I am a honda fan of sorts and compete in local speed hillclimb events in my CRX (pictured). Thins year i joined in with a crew of people travelling over to the nurburgring to have a blast.
During the week one of the guys mentions he has a honda beat. Not owned for long and it does not run. He has a few cars and felt this one he just hasn't the time for.
After our return from Germany (which was awesome btw) I called him up and went and had a look.
Tbh it may or may not be worth the effort but I felt so sorry for the little beat that I made him and offer and chucked it on the trailer. The bad news is that somebody has had various tried at electronics and there are random and disconnected wires everywhere
So. Not having much time myself to fiddle (I spend every Tuesday evening only on my cars) I have so far spent and hour and 30 minutes on her and have done / identified the following.
Compression 130 all cylinders. cold
Has spark (only checked 1 plug)
Fuel being sent to cylinders. Plugs wet.
Replaced the castle nut. Yes. That's castle nut holding the fuel line on which was spurting all over the place.
Attempted error code reading but no engine check light illuminates at all.
And here we are.
My next logical steps are
Reset/align ignition timing dizzy.
It should at least cough into life.
Check all engine earth's to identify why check light not working.
Any help or information I can get from you guys and this forum will be most welcome in the road to recovery for this little beat.
