Has anyone orderd one of the bolts that the corner of the softtop and roof cover clip into. The ones on my car have a little ball on the end. I orderd one from Honda but was given a bolt and stud that didn't seem to fit together.

The front corner roof fixing did change.
The early type were like these. (Tenax fitting)
http://www.u-ukhbc.co.uk/vbb/showthread.php?248-For-Sale-Roof-fixings
And the later type are like these. (Normal popper type)
http://www.u-ukhbc.co.uk/vbb/showthread.php?2457-For-Sale-A-pair-of-late-type-roof-fixings
I think Genuine parts have superseeded over to the later type now which would mean changing both the male/female fixing.

Hi Steve, Many thanks. I have the early type but was supplied the latter I think with had a bolt similar to the standard roof fixing and popper in the same bag. Couldn't see how the fit together. Do you think then I need to order a different female bit?

Do you know the part numbers of the parts you got?
Probably a 90308-SS1-023 and either a 90307-SS1-901 or 90306-SS1-315 or 90306-SS1-013 ???

Yes, 90306-SS1-505 is on the invoice. I left the parts at Colliers so can't check if thats the number in the bag. I'll ring them now. Thanks again for the help Steve

Thats the correct superceeded part number, But I cant check what it should contain and how you should use it.
It does mean you would have to change over to the later type of fitting if you used that.
Otherwise if you want to stick with the original type fitting then I can see if I can source you some, as per my original message link to "for sale" page.
Or I think I still have those later outer fixings (female) and a spare male one if you want them.

If you can get an original one I'll buy one from you. If not I'll have the new set if you still have it. Many thanks again Steve.

Sounds good to me sold!. That looks like what Colliers have supplied me but the extra ones would be welcome as will have to convert the roof cover as well. So the large screw end fits into the popper, makes sence now. let me know how you want payment.
Thanks again.

All dealers do have access to parts catalogue for Beat via EPC with a VIN number, but with more and more parts either being superceeded or discontinued, it will get more and more difficult to get new parts.

Good point. The Honda dealer I have just started to use (Colliers) are really good and helpful. They have all the info but most off them understanably have never seen a Beat so don't have your depth of knowledge. Anyway, thanks again for all the help.
