wheel studs & spacers

I had a few problems after fitting the Sparko wheels - under heavy breaking the tyres would rub on the suspension and lock up, so I wanted to fit some spacers. The standard wheel studs just aren't long enough for this so I did a bit of searching...

The standard stud comes in 2 variaties (not sure why - year, alloy or steel, Honda being random???)

I found these off an INTEGRA 1989-96, TL 1997-96, rear
90113-SD2-005
Thread : M12-1.5 Knurl Dia. : 12.34mm Length : 48mm

I've fitted them on the front and they work perfectly with an extra 12mm of stud to play with (mine must have been the ...-006's). Not the easiest of jobs, a hydraulic press and a 36mm spanner (for the hub nut) are a must.
Next job is to tackle the back - does anyone know, offhand, the size of the securing bolt for the hub/drive shaft axle?

Well I tried to do the rears and failed miserabley :(
The nut that hold the hub to the driveshaft seem to be welded in place. I was using a 5 foot scaffold pole as an extension to the socket wrench (32 mm nut), handbrake on and a friend with their foot on the brake and all I managed to do was bend a (very) expensive socket wrench!!!

So I've given up on doing the rears - if anyone wants my 8 spare studs pm me, you can have them at cost (£4 each) + postage.

Before giving up:
Repeat previous set up with friend and scaffolding pole. While the friend is preloading the tension give the socket bar some sharp blows with a lump hammer (5 lbs)
or
Take it to a garage where they will use an impact wrench
As a last resort apply heat on the nut with a oxy-acetylene torch and then try again scaffolding pole, etc.
Try both sides in case the nuts are left and right threads.
