TDC Sensor - Code 8

Hi, I have a code 8 error on my ECU and I cannot find any information on how to correct it. I assume its something to do with locating top dead centre (TDC), but thats as much as I can get out of the code information.

Any help would be greatly appreciated...

TDC sensor is inside the distributor, so It could be you have a failing distributor bearing and the sensor has been damaged.

It could also be that you ignition timing is out, so needs checking and adjusting.

This information may help you.

Wires for TDC sensor are white/Blue and Orange and Blue.

The sensor when disconnected should have a resistance of 800 - 1300 ohms at terminals 4 and 3 of connector 107.

cables run back to the ecu via bulkhead connector 4 (pins 2 & 13) and then ECU connector 502 (pins 8 & 19)
