MR2-Style Hardtop

I've been contemplating getting a hardtop for my beat and I'm really quite smitten by the RS-Mach widebody kit hardtop, i.e:

Really like the style of it, looks really sleek as well as sporty plus it allows much easier access to the engine bay (which may come in handy when I come to try fitting a certain AMR500 ;)).

Only problem is that it's some £1800 for the hardtop, the new bootlid, the new boot hinges and new fenders (don't know why you need new fenders but the site seems to suggest so). When you add shipping and respraying, that's a lot of cash!The other option seems to be this (http://model.auto-style.jp/?pkey=parts_free_word&limit_car%5B%5D=3691&limit_genre%5B%5D=13A&set=0&page=1&max=10&car_url=pp1) but I don't like the silly offset cover.

I suppose I should just start saving. :(

do these fit over the the original roof , or do you remove one completely and replace with the other ?

You need the fenders on the rsmach beat because the pillars are attached to the wide fenders as it has a targa top. This is different to the pic of the blue beat.

You have to remove the original roof completely.

The only other option is the Kimura Hardtop as it does not need anything else to be changed except the roof.
