non-working but no obvious signs why, however after taking off the heatsink, found a 3a fuse, but not blown,
just above the connector but normally hidden

tried to pull out but it is soldered to the board at rear.
to me fuse looks like an ordinary blade fuse in a holder so may have been... ....ahem....'repaired' at some stage?
so.... if yours stops working & you know the power supply is good, remember this fuse.
