Warning light

Hi All, The warning light is on all the time.I have placed a wire in the connection to reset the codes and nothing, light still on.The BEAT still goes like it should(like you stole it). Is it still OK to drive,will this damage anything in the long term?

Bridging the SCS connector does not clear codes, it's there to read the code by ignition on and count the engine light flashes. Remove backup fuse to clear codes.

thanks , tried resetting and still the light is on, maybe ECU ,I shall go down that line of investigation.
