The Honda dealer who normally looks after our Beats has advised me that engine cooling radiators are no longer available. Does anyone know any different? We are now intending to investigate re-coring.

Yes, it would seem as your dealer was right, the Radiator part number is discontinued.

So your best option is most likely a recore or find someone who would make an all Ally one using old one as pattern.

I`ve had the same prob, this summer. No part from HONDA, i`ve asked 2 radiator specialist, no way, there is no net to buy in europe. I`ve ordert a new one in Japan (Yahoo) The price was ok, the new rad fits and has 35% more thickness. I think that is the only way to get a new rad.
(Sorry Steve for my bad english)

There are 4 used rads and what might be a core on Japan Yahoo today, plus a new stainless one if you are happy springing 400 quid.

Paste this:

I'm off to Suzuka on Sunday with work, I'll check on the Japan spares sight in Honda and let you know on my return, and if possible find out any local manufacturers. They are bound to have some form of repair and replacement going on.

I had mine recored recently at Newquay radiators Cornwall, there does not seem to be a direct replacement core available, but they fitted a better flowing core. Due to the extra work needed to fit this the total cost was about £100 plus vat, radiator is now fine.

Sorry guy's, Honda Japan do not have any spares. The cost of repairing is very expensive in Japan with the yen being as it is. £150 ~ £200 not including shipment. forget it. As long as the frame is OK get it re-cored in the UK as Oz has done.

Mugen do a radiator for about a million bucks. A better option might be re-coring although you have plastic end tanks which are known to fail on many cars (if not all) over time.
Perhaps the best option might be a full custom job?

My core looks shagged as well, I suspect a great number of other peoples cars will do also they just havn't looked yet!

We had ours recored. The new core is thicker than the old which will probably mean some fiddling with the fan shroud. Sadly the car was damaged shortly after and we are awaiting the parts for it to be fixed so I haven't dealt with the rad yet.
