View Full Version : Part numbers for idler on cam belt?

Anybody know why the parts book lists two part numbers for the cam belt idler and bolt? My cars a J reg? Got the belt cover off and the idler and tensioner are noisy so I,m going to renew them whilst I have the chance.

I had the work done by my local Honda dealer. From their invoice:

H06141P36306 Timing Belt Kit (includes spring) £ 29.79
H14520pZ1004 Idler, timing belt £ 57.10
H14510PFB003 Tensioner £ 52.05
H19200P36000 Water pump £ 95.77

Labour for fitting, checking valve and ignition timing £ 209.97
Total, VAT inc. = £ 511.38

Idler has two differant suppliers KOYO and NSK

Part now superseeds to the NSK type.

Idler - 14520-PZ1-004 @ £70.62 (In stock)

Idler bolt - 14521-PN4-000 @ £3.40 (No Stock)

Tensioner info.

Tensioner - 14510-PFB-003 @ £64.37 (In Stock)

Tensioner bolt - 90026-P36-003 @ £5.26 (No Stock)

how do you know so much information about the Beat?

1) Owned 2 Beats.

2) Rebuilt 5 Beat Engines and worked on many Beats.

3) Worked as Master Technician for Honda Dealer for 13 years and now Work for Honda.
