Poorly Beat?

Steve,

I've had a mechanic check my Beat today and his diagnosis is that the noise is coming from either the camshaft or the lifters/followers?

He said that something has worn in that area.

He asked me if they are hydraulic lifters in the Beat, do you know if they are?

Also, do you think you might try to give me a rough idea how much it would cost to remedy this at a Honda garage.

He seemed very reluctant to do any work on it as he's never even seen a Beat before today.

I've cured the low rev mis-fire. It was because the air filter was really dirty.

Any help appreciated.

The tappets are manually adjusters, so could be that one of the lock nuts has come loose, causing large gap and rattle
