Bonhams are auctioning this off on the 28th...

Sale: 10176
Lot No: 612
Description: 1991 Honda Beat Spider
Registration no. IBZ 4382
Chassis no. PP11014949
Engine no. EPP1E07A
The Beat was one of a number of small sportscars conceived to take advantage of Japan's tax-efficient 'K' class. Although powered by a diminutive 656cc three-cylinder motor, the mid-engined Beat had all of 75bhp at its disposal yet weighed just 1,700lb. On the road this translated into a 0-60mph time of around 9 seconds and a top speed of 90mph. Produced between 1991 and 1995, the Beat was never imported officially into the UK, the 100-or-so examples believed to be in this country having been brought in privately.
Finished in eye-catching yellow with black/white fabric interior, this example has been fastidiously maintained and serviced annually since acquisition by the vendor in 1998, benefiting from recent (March 2003) maintenance at Honda UK in Chiswick, which included re-setting the ECU and fitting a new timing belt. The car has an immobiliser installed, and a new distributor (12 months guarantee) was fitted in September 2002. The car has covered 74,479 kilometres from new and is described by the private vendor as in good condition in every respect. Offered with all expired MoTs this ownership, road fund licence to May 2003, MoT to March 2004 and Swansea V5. More fun for its size than just about any other car on the road.

Estimate: £3,500 to 4,000

The pic I've seen in the catalogue is of a yellow one with honda alloys, boot spoiler and the black transfers in the airvents...

Bit of an unusual one to auction... Anyone recognise the reg??

No Tiny its not Irish. We don't have personalised licence plates. All of ours start with the year, county and then number.
