Broken trip meter...

My trip meter (below the odomoeter) is broken. When I push the button to reset it, it does not go back to zero.
Is this a common problem with the Beat gauges?
Does anyone know if just the trip-meter can be replaced, or does the entire odometer need to be replaced?

take it apart. 3 screws underneath the column (after the 4 screws for the black plastic cover), 1 screw behind the cluster and the 2 elec connectors. it's reatively easy. the problem may be simple.
