On the side of the 120w stereo are some holes, with adjustment screws...what the heck do these do?

I'm guessing no one has had played with these controls yet? I wonder what they do?
Anyone?

I would guess that
RF= radio frequency
OSC= oscillator
VR=variable resistor
IFT=inter frequency tuner
ANT= antenna
I believe they would be for fine tuning the radio circuits. This would cover such matters as sensitivity (ability to receive weak stations), discrimination (separating stations which are close together) and whether or not a station appears at the right point on the dial. In short if you don't know what you are doing leave them alone.

I'm going to go with that advice! :D
Thanks, that sound pretty accurate. Do most OEM stereo's have those fine tuning adjustments?

I think it would depend on the age. I was recalling cheap transistor sets of 20yrs or so ago which had similar controls which I did fiddle with. Generally speaking if I was able to improve the reception on one station it was at the expense of another.
