Hello

I'm thinking about changing my wheels. I've seen some Beats with aftermarket alloys and they seemed to be the same size, which presumably is 14". This is probably the route i'd go down. Can anyone offer any advice about rim widths, clearance issues etc? I've had my Beat for nearly 3 years now, and it needs a new roof and 'zorst so i was thinking about modding it further.

Regards

Marge

I went with 14" wheels, with the front tyres an inch smaller in diameter to the rears.

Didn't experience any problems at all with them. The offsets etc should be around here some where if you need it. :)

Thanks Em. How wide are the rims you've got? And what width of tyre do you have front and rear?

I sold the wheels to beardo, and can't remember I'm afraid. I'm 98% sure however the rear tyres were exactly the same as the originals. So whatever the originals were I had exactly the same on the new after market ones.

hey marge
ive got 14" 5.5" on the front and 6 on the back, with 35 offset on the front and 40 on the rear. tyres are 165/55 F and 175/60 R with no probs at all... tho ideally i'd probably go for 165/60 on the rear next time if possible.
