I can't believe this peice of news. General Motors Korean outpost with the good ol' American name, Chevrolet (nee Daewoo) are developing a replacement for their horrible little Matiz. And the intention is for it to have the same name as our wonderful cars. I can't believe Honda don't have a copyright on it. I can't think of any cars in history that have the same name but are made by two different manufacturers in different eras. If this does happen, the Chevwoo Beat will be out in 2010. Shortly after that, any mention of owning a Beat will bring to mind a cheap and nasty Korean food-mixer, instead of Hondas other mid-engined marvel. What a shame.
