Hi all,
I have at long last got my Beat on the road but the first time I went out the red light above the seat belt light came on,(it looks like an overheated aneurism). What does it represent and how do I cure it? Any help appreciated.
Thanks, Tony,

Its the catalyst temperature warning light. This is required by Japanese law. Its probably a duff sensor and can safely be ignored. One of ours has been illuminated for at least a year now. If its too annoying stick something over it or remove the bulb.

Mine went through a phase flicking on the cat overheat light on and off for a week or two then it just cleared it self.
Maybe it's obstructed slightly

if you have an after market exhaust , there probably wasint a bung for the cat heat sensor , just short out the sensor and the light will go off
