I went out to my faithful Toshi this morning and for the first time in two years I had a problem. She wouldn't start.

The engine turns as normal but no sign of life Checked all the usual suspects, nothing.

One odd thing, as soon as I put the key in, and before I turn it, there is a beeping noise, different to the seat belt one.

Has anyone else had experience of this problem?

How is the battery?

I only ask because.....

I don't think it is the immobiliser, but I do not really know if she has one. The previous lovely lady owner never gave me a key and there are no obvious extra buttons or keyholes.

The engine turns over ok but I will give the battery a charge as soon as it stops bloody raining just in case.

Any other ideas gratefully recieved as its tax it or sorn it time if its a long job.

A new battery and a bit of a clean up and she started with no problem. I am still puzzled by the beeping though. Thanks again
