theres been several people on the facebook group and a friend of ours who have tried as well but cannot register at the moment - someone mentioned paul might have to verify each one himself? we could really do with another moderator or two! :awwww:

Yes, because of the massive number of spambots that registered and posted porn sites, prescriptions etc Paul had to change the registration process to approval by Admin.

Most sites even moderators can't approve members, though paul may have included some mods in the permissions.

So basically everytime someone registers a message is sent to whoever has the permission to approve membership (usually admin) and they have to say yes or no.

Sadly we haven't seen Paul for a while now, I do hope he is ok. But until he can return unless someone else has permission to approve new members, no new members will be approved.

I get a lot of e-mails too.

Although I have moderator status for a small part of the board I don't have rights to approve members, so I can't help.

Paul, if you drop by this thread, would you consider allowing a few other board members rights to approve membership?

Andy.
