I have installed these in 3 other cars in the past few years without issue. Fantastic.

Question: Can the OEM alternator handle the 5 amp load without problems? Has anyone installed an any electrical item that consumes similar load and has the alternator satified the draw? Or can the alternator be modified (if necessary) to handle this or is there another Honda alternator suitable?

The alternator is designed to work with the A/C system which can seriously drain the system I believe.

I have a 1200w amp and a 1200w max subwoofer in my beat and can't say I noticed any problems (those are the max, but the RMS is 300W so suits me fine, has more power than I need).

I ran the battery flat once having all the lights on and the amp and sub going so you might want to bare that in mind.

I'd imagine you'd be ok as long as you didn't turn everything on at once.
