Weird Soft Top Screw??

Hi guys,

Is there anyone out there that can help me with the 2 weird looking double sided screws at the rear end of the soft top on the sides.

How are they suppose to go on and were should there be the plastic washer on it, also what is the purpose of the nut that screws on it (what does it hold)??

Is it possible for someone to take a quick photo snap of the order the screw is meant to go in!!!!!

part 23 in drawing. the inner part holds the metal plate on and the outer part holds the rearscreen panel on over it. nylon washer on eash part.

thanks for that, but doest that metal strip bar go over the soft top so it screws on the outside????

Or does it sit under the hood fabric???

the long metal strip goes under the rear screen panel against the body work, if i remember correctly. two screw hold the end to the other metal plates on each side (items 27 & 28 with screws 15 then the rear screen section held on with 3 screws in middle and 2 nuts on outer.

There does not seem to be a good picture in the workshop manual.

Hopefully some one can give you a picture of an actual car (as I dont have a beat anymore)
