What format is the VIN for the Beat?

Is it PP1-XXXXXXX - What I'm asking is are there seven digits after the PP1? I found an old post where Ozsamurai posted that his beat (#176) has eight digits, but the guy I'm buying mine from only quoted me seven digits.

BTW I'm having a time getting someone over here to insure it!

so that's 7 if you don't include the PP1.

It's worrying I know that off by heart lol

Ok, so ozsamurai probably just got excited and put one too many zero's in there, having such a low number car and all. :p

I see that your Vin is 986 before mine,if you know the reg. date of yours it will give me a better idea of mine.

All I know is that it's a 1991. Sorry.

I've lost my V5 too, so I can't go look on there. :mad:

Thanks anyway, I'll just have to convince DVLA that it's post August 1st. I think it should be, I believe production didn't start till May 1991 so it's only 3 months isn't it.
