Aircon

I've just realised that my aircon needs to be regassed. I remember from previous posts that you can't get the old gas any longer because it was a CFC. Can anyone let me know what you need to do to get the aircon converted for the new gas and does anyone know of anyone who does this, preferably somewhere near London but I can travel.

I'm glad I've found out prior to the summer as hot drizzly days in the summer really need the aircon.

Hi Tim,

To be honest, as long as the specialist knows what he's doing and you tell them that it used to run on the old type gas then they should be able to convert it without to many problems.

There are kits available now that make conversions easier so you shouldn't have too many problems.

And, now that you have mentioned it, you have reminded me that mine could do with a re-charge also... (must get round to that someday..)
