noy sure about the newer Civic Type-R engines, but certainly the older model one B16A engine (1600cc Vtec) is do-able. As specified in the Japanese 'K-CAR Special' Magazine, Back Yard special had it done back in 2000 and they are trying to use a Integra B18C engine (1800cc Vtec) in 2002, don't know if they had success though...
