You must be getting better fuel consumption than me - currently, average is about 30 mpg! Maybe it's the way I drive - girls are probably lighter-footed!

Sorry ... didn't mean to impune your gender! Looks like I'm doing well at 30mpg.

My other cars do:

Jag Sovereign - about 19mpg
Renault Avantime - about 22mpg
Civic Type "R" - about 26mpg

...so, I feel good about the Beat, although I'm told some people get as much as 45mpg.

ohh its ok maan...well my ive got a porshe 911 and it does around 15 mpg and my toyota does around 40 ..
i got my beat day before yesterday ...but maan wht a car ..its really fast .my porshe cant beat it in the begining

I'm suprised your Beat is quicker off the line than your Porsche. But imagine how much faster the Beat would feel with all the big steel panels replaced with carbon-fibre. I believe you can get CF bonnet, boot and maybe even doors in Japan. Plus, there's supposedly a turbo available!
