this year about 70 Beats turned up, 15 yrs or so on from the initial production and the modifications over here are still going strong.... a little to much sometimes perhaps, but here's a glimpse of the pre MTB showing..

Do a search on universal kits on google, there are a bunch of makers out there to choose from, starting from around $600 US p to $2500. depending on what you want, Vert angle, pop out angle and tonnage on the door etc... The full 90deg would suit the Beat better than the cheapies this guy has fitted, purely for entry to the car, his are a little tight.

Here's a bit of a look see

Horses for courses really, The el cheapo sets are approx 10kg I am told, minus the 1kg for the originals being removed, you have the weight of the spare tyre, lose it, back to square one, just don't get a flat!! Carbon bonnet shaves off 15kg etc.. You either want a show pony or a speed machine, if you want both, then I suspect the wallet is going to be hit hard..lol!!

I personally build show ponies, I don't expect performance speed from the Beat with 660cc under the hood, Look Good Cruising is what its all about for me, top down, music pumping, cruising the strip. Can't get any better than that
