Driving me bonkers

Hi I've been away for two weeks so car wasn't used for three weeks

Jumped in it and it started first time, used it, come back three hours later refused to start

Didn't start till next day

It let me down twice like this the week before I went away

So opened up the ECU box thinking my capacitors had gone but they look like brand new no swelling or leaking

Could it be the Pump Relay as when I turn the key

normally it clicks the pump primes itself then another click

when it refuses to start the relay clicks but no noise from the pump

Can I test the relay or is it a case or just buy another and try it

Any help/advice appreciated as the title says it's driving me bonkers

Mat,

On most Hondas it could be the main relay. And usually it's another soldering job rather than buying a new one. It's ageing and so the contacts wear out. I had this problems on my CRXs before. Open up the main relay box (was a pain to remove in the CRX) and check the soldering. As far as I remember it's a really simple construction.

I don't have a Beat yet, so it could be something else though, I'm just thinking Hondas in general.
