I think it was the same engine as the beat but maybe tuned up more. Maybe it has more in the way of handling and brakes, they aint alowed to go over a certain bhp etc are they
wow its like a pocket sized civic:D
kei cars arnt allowed engines bigger than 660cc and 64/65 bhp so its probably the same engine as the beat.

Hate to be the wet blanket here, but there is no Today Type R, I think the only thing type R on this car is the badge he ripped off a Civic or like... Honda has never made a K car (660cc) with a Type R configuration, turbo yes, type R no! the smallest we have in the fleet (engine wise) is the Civic hatch for you guys or Civic Si in the States... this guys today is just a wanna be unfortunately. There has even been those who have fitted red type R rocker covers to K cars to throw everyone off.... and as to the engine it is the same as the Beat the EO7A engine, used in Today, Life, Beat, Z, Z turbo.

Are the ECU's in those cars the same as in the beat?
I realise that the mapping may be different for different driving profiles, but if its the same ECU and then chipped........

I will ask about that as I'm not entirely sure but they do come with MTREC so it's highly likely there may be a cross match on some maps, Honda is pretty scummy when it comes to investing in new tech... Food for thought and definately a worthy little project for me..
Cheers
