zips and sausages

Always having been a zip person (I'm talking about the hood you know) last week apathy overwhelmed me and I pulled the hood down without undoing it. It was harder putting it back on, but it got there in the end.

Anyway we then had two really big thunderstorms. Normally that would mean a great leak through the rubber sausages. Not a peep.

I'm never undoing that zip again.

(I did get some water ingress when I left the top down in blistering sun to do my shopping and we had an inch of rain in ten minutes, but that's another story)

hmmm...

I always thought that the water seeped in through the stitching on the top of the hood, that why it never seemed to be a problem with a light shower, but much worse after a week of light drizzle!

Maybe the storms weren't prolonged enough?
