View Full Version : Running Problems...

After several weeks of running perfectly, my Beat has started to have some problems.

It has been seemingly misfiring (accoring to ex-mechanic friend), and hesitating, particualy at low revs. It eventually clears itself at higher revs but takes a while to gain momentum.

Ex-mechanic friend has suggested a few possibilities but does anyone on here have any ideas as to what the problem could be and/or how to fix it?

Thanks!

It could be your spark plugs and as an easy place to start worth a check.

Has the mpg dropped?

While you're doing the plugs make sure the dizzy is tight.

It could also be a hole in any of the pipes leading to the throttle housing and it's sucking air in.

After these it may be worth taking it to the garage, you just happen to have the most experienced Beat mechanic in the UK living in Kent

Hi,

The mechanic in kent is our very own SteveM...

He works for a Honda dealership in kent as a mechanic and knows beats very well.

Hope this helps
