Can anyone help me changing my cam belt.
I got as far as trying to remove the crank pulley I even had a special tool made up but the car just lifted and the bolt refused to move. Any ideas?
Failing this any sugestions as to a garage somewhere reasonably near to Aberdeen that could do the job.

air gun with at least 800nm of torque its the only way
What I do is get a monkey wrench with the right socket on it, put a cloth over it, stand back and turn the engine over. It work everytime too.

outch! if you can jam the flywheel properly then a knuckle bar and a bit of grunt may do it .but really an air gun is required ,its the initial kick of the gun breaks the growth of the bolt tyr doing rovers or some peug`s they are worce :)

What about timing marks?
I was thinking of marking each pulley with a paint mark and a corresponding mark on the engine block prior to removing the old belt. That way if anything movs ijust have to make sure allthree paint marks line up.
