I've heard series F... k... etc being mentioned now and then, but how do you tell other than being told by the owner???

when I sorted my insurance with Direct line they had on their system a "type C" Beat.... what is that>>>??? I said I wasn't sure what mine was classed as and they said it prob doesn't matter. I've heard of the type F beat but C? is that the standard>?
