Temp gauge

Hi All
AS ive never owned a Beat before or a car with such a small engine.
How long do you wait for the temp gauge to move?
Mine takes a good hard drive of about 5 miles before it creaps up.
Is this the norm?

Hi Easson sounds about the same for mine. Dont forget that there is a long distance between the rad and engine so it will cool on route to the front. It is possible that your thermostat is slow to open . I would not worry.

Both of ours take about 3 miles moderate driving @ 35mph max (local speed limit) for temp to stabilise on the mid point mark.

Mine takes between 3 to 5 mins to reach the middle of the temp guage where it stays (hopefully)

Ive ordered a thermostat just in case £14.50 not bad for a import item.....
Iam talking 80mph at 5miles to move mine.
Also just serviced it £3.50 for a oil filter very cheap and in stock.
