Does anyone know where I can get a set of 14" x 6" alloys. I have been trying to get a set for a couple of weeks now but I have no luck. No one does 14ns. I really want a white ones or something nice and chunky. Maybe a dish!

Type alloy wheel 14" into e-bay search and you will get around 80 hits.

I've got a feeling you will be hard pushed to find anything over 5.5" though (VW polo)

The problem with ebay is that a lot of people won't post them or don't have a clue what car the wheels fit.

Further to that Saxo and MR2 may have had 6" wide rims.

I think it depends on the year of the Metro. I know the mini wheels won't fit.

The Saxo ones will fit then. I've got 15" 6J for mine. What do you intend to do about wheel spacers and studs?

Don't have a clue, I had 15"s on the back before and they were rubbing so thats why I decided to go for 14"s. But If I can fit a 15, then I have no problem getting wheels. What size tyres you have on yours Tim and what the offset?

This is the wheel I really want but its not available anymore

I have 195/45 R15 with a 20mm spacer on the rear and 25 on the front. I don't know what the offset was (I made it up as I went along) but I'll measure it tomorrow. They came from a Saxo.

The problem I have now is that the wheels protrude from the arch and so are illegal to drive on the road, hence my interest in the BIGGER bits box from Oz.

If you had 6" wide rims before did yours not stick out?

Sure they did and it looked great. Its not a problem here to have wheels stick out so that wasnt an issue for me.

Where did you get the studs and spacers? I couldn't get them so I had to sell my ones.

I got them from www trackstore co uk.

Depending on the spacer you end up getting you will need either the 13mm of 25mm extended ford stud (12mm 1.5 pitch.)

You have to remove the hubs to fit the studs, which is a bit of a pig and you will also have to drill out the holes to 1/2 inch for the studs to fit in but once you have done it you can replace the studs with another ford one.

Nice exhaust.

Just a recomendation (er? is that how you spell it??) though, get a little heat resistant plate to go on your rear bumper so it doesn't melt it... you can buy them from most car places... try www.speeding.co.uk I only say this as you have black soot on the bumper. I've seen people melt their bumpers before!
